Wayru (WRU) Token Economy
Wayru will create a proprietary token running on Algorand’s Blockchain called Wayru Token or WRU. The characteristics of the WRU Token are the following:
- WRU token is earned by either securing the network staking or participating in the expansion of the network running 12, or sharing your existing connection.
- WRU token is distributed to Hotspot owners, Node Operators and Stakers. All WRU tokens are pre-mined with a max supply of 10B WRU.
- Anyone can Stake tokens to become support a network or join the network. You’ll earn rewards on a daily basis for your participation and for the traffic your node.
- All WRU tokens are minted at the genesis and kept locked until network usage begins for distribution to starts. WRU tokens are distributed to Hotspot owners, Node Operators, Stakers and SEED investors for their support.
- 3% will be released into the circulating supply (300 million) at the ICO, the rest will be released over 20 years to stakers, node operators, and hotspot owners for their participation.
- WRU token has a deflationary behavior, ensuring higher rewards for early network supporters and operators getting to inflation 0 in year 20.
