About SubQuery Network (SQT)

What is SubQuery Network?

SubQuery is a blockchain developer toolkit which forms the backbone of web3 infrastructure. We’re facilitating an open web3 data revolution to help developers build the next generation of decentralised applications.

SubQuery is your own custom open-source API between blockchain data and your dApps and tools.

SubQuery Network Unique Features

Absolute Performance

Iterate and deliver faster with extremely fast sync times and indexing optimisations to ensure that you always have fresh data.

Achieve Your Goals Faster

There’s no need for complex and expensive data pre-processors, one atomic SubQuery project is all you need to build and maintain.

Write Once, Run Anywhere

SubQuery is multi-chain by design, the same project can easily extend across chains and the SubQuery Network supports them all.

Endless Possibilities With GraphQL

Advanced filtering, subscriptions, pagination, and aggregation give you the tools you need.

We’re Right Behind You

Thousands of supporters and builders on our Discord server can provide you the technical support that you need.

Launch Your Next Idea

The SubQuery Grants programme is here to incubate and accelerate the next generation of builders with funding and support.

Roadmap

March 2022

The highly anticipated ‘Frontier’ test network is launched with support from some of the leading node operators in the industry.

March 2022

SubQuery extends to other layer-1s by announcing indexing support for Avalache, the first of many new blockchains.

February 2022

SubQuery releases and updated whitepaper providing more clarity in how the SubQuery Network will operate and it’s competitive advantages

December 2021

SubQuery partners with leading parachain teams to launch the $500,000 SubQuery Grants programme to accelerate ecosystem development

November 2021

SubQuery solidfies its reputation as the premium data infrastructure provider by delivering a scalable enterprise level managed service to customers.

October 2021

SubQuery works closely with the premiere Polkadot parachains to build and deliver extensive EVM indexing for Moonbeam, Astar, and more.

August 2021

SubQuery announces it’s US$9m funding round led by Arrington Capital, DCG, Stratos, and Hypersphere to massively accelerate development and scale SubQuery’s team and processes.

July 2021

SubQuery releases dictionary support, a precomputed index of on chain data that drastically speeds up indexing.

June 2021

SubQuery announces plans for The SubQuery Network, a decentralised and tokenised network that will be the future of web 3 data infrastructure.

March 2021

SubQuery raises US$1.8m seed funding to accelerate development from top crypto investors.

March 2021

SubQuery releases the first version of its managed service, a free service that provides access to published SubQuery projects made by contributors from around the world and hosted by SubQuery.

February 2021

The first version of the SubQuery SDK was released and quickly adopted by leading teams in Polkadot. This includes the first versions of the cli, node, and query services.

December 2020

With inspiration from other data players in this space and with a Web3 Foundation Grant to kick start this, we began building SubQuery in December 2020.

November 2020

SubQuery is built by the team at OnFinality. While talking to ecosystem teams in 2020, we kept hearing teams repeat the same problems around data processing that was getting in the way of building applications.

SubQuery Network Token Economy

Primary Token: SQT

SubQuery will initially mint a supply of 10 billion SQT. A small rate of inflation of newly minted tokens is expected to go directly to a treasury-like token pool, which will be managed by the SubQuery Foundation.

The core team will have a 24 month lock-up period which will then vest over another 24 months while some Public Sale participants can freely use the utility of their token upon launch.
The Foundation and Community will have approximately 30% of the allocation unlocked from the start to meet the operational needs of launching and promoting mainnet with the rest of the allocation vesting gradually over 5 years.
