What Is Walkn App ?

WALKN – is a web3 fitness app that integrates MoveToEarn mechanism through activities like Walking, Jogging & Running

Sneaker

There are four types of sneakers in the app to suit every type of exercise intensity and fitness level of a user. ( walker, jogger, runner, trainer)

Accessories and Packs

User will be able to unlock several accessories and packs once their sneakers reach a certain level. Users will also be able to improve their sneakers’ attributes by using these accessories into their unclaimed Packs. Users can use corresponding accessories into unclaimed Packs, for example an Efficiency accessory can be used only for Efficiency Packs.

Users can also upgrade their Packs by burning $STEPS tokens and can also combine with other Packs at the same level and type to unlock a higher-level Pack.

Once a user reaches level 4, then. $WALKN tokens will also be required to upgrade Packs.

Badges

Badges are earned by users after completing tasks within the app. There are 5 types of badges and with harder tasks come higher badge.

Marketplace

Trading

• Users will be able to buy and sell their sneakers, mystery boxes, packs, and accessories with/from other users. Users will only use $WALKN tokens for any transaction within the in-app marketplace.

Leasing & Renting

• In near future, users will be able to rent or lease their sneakers to other users using the WalkN app.

Energy System

When a user uses the WalkN app, every move consumes energy. Energy is replenished 20% every 6 hours until the user reaches their efficiency Cap. Each sneaker comes with different level of Energy with starting from 5 Energy points but a user can always buy more by burning $STEPS tokens in the app or staking more $WALKN tokens.

Anti-Cheating

The WalkN app has three in-built three anti-cheating mechanisms. In case a user is found cheating, the account related to the user is banned and no more earning.

• Tracking using GPS
• In-built health app and sensors of a phone
• AI-enabled data simulation to detect any irregular behaviour

Roadmap

Walkn App  Token Economy 

WalkN App will have two tokens – a governance token and a in-app tokens (rewards).

Governance Token: $WALKN

The WALKN token will be used as governance token to determine the project’s developments by its token holders. The governance token can be either purchased through WalkN’s fundraising rounds or DEX/CEX. Upon launch, more WALKN tokens can be earned staking or by using WalkN app for various activities. With staking your WALKN you’ll get platform rewards which are collected either via staking platform or the in-app purchases. A user must reach a certain level in WalkN to start earning WALKN tokens. So, with the WALKN token users are able to stake or purchase the in-game NFTs, sneakers, accessories and mystery boxes through the in-app marketplace.

In-game Token: $STEPS

The STEPS token can be earned by simply using the WalkN app while you walk, jog, or run. The activities can be as solo (also free-to-play), social events, or a specific event organised by the WalkN App in your region. The STEPS token can be used to level up your shoes to increase its stats, efficiency, clean or repair them which would increase its output.
