What is Tales of Xtalnia?
Tales of Xtalnia is a turn-based strategy multiplayer online blockchain game. Each player starts with 3 characters and can add up to a maximum of 5 characters. Along with a character, basic weapons are included.
There are two gameplay styles. Firstly, when a player chooses his best three characters team equipped with weapon of choices, a player can pick between two types of battle – PVE and PVP. With the PVE or Player versus Environment mode, a player uses these characters to fight monsters in various stages and earn in-game currency. Another mode is the PVP or Player versus Player mode, a player can choose to compete with another player and earn in-game currency. Based on the blockchain game characteristics, each day a player can earn a fixed amount of the in-game currency from PVE and PVP. The combat is a card-based strategy. Each player chooses and plays cards that match best with the situation in order to defeat opponents.
Secondly, each player can create their own new weapons or buy the weapons from the NFT marketplace. A player who sold a weapon is the one who set the price of that weapon. In the absence of any illegal conduct, weapons in the market are solely created and sold by players without any manipulation from the Tales of Xtalnia team. The NFT marketplace is operating under the blockchain technology to give all players fair and transparent events. Further weapon details will be described in the weapon and crafting section.

Tales of Xtalnia Token Economy
Open a character slot
At the start of the game players can choose 3 out of 5 characters then the 2 remaining characters will be locked. They are unplayable until a player opens a new character slot. A player can pay a fixed amount of RSC to open a locked character slot. When a player unlocks a character slot with this method a basic weapon of that element is also given along with the character.
Open an XTAL Box
XTAL Box can be opened with the fixed amount of the RSC in the marketplace. When a player opens a box, he/she will receive a random weapon which has a random type, element, and traits. These weapons will have XTAL team 1st edition as the name of crafter.
Purchase items from RSC shop
A player can buy various items for in-game purposes which are used to ease the PVE mode and reduce time for farming such, Resurrection stone, or Full buff Potion. These items mainly help players only in PVE mode and will not interfere with PVP mode. Moreover, these items will not affect XTAL and all items that are related to XTAL in every possible way. In the future patch item in the RSC shop will include more items that add more gaming experience such as Skins, Pets, and Mastery orb.
Spin RSC Wheel
Players can pay a fixed amount of RSC to spin RSC wheel and gain random items with fixed chances. In the first edition of the game items on the wheel will be items in the RSC shop. A player can spin the wheel up to 5 times a day. Price for spinning the wheel will vary depending on the economical state of the game. Items on the wheel are subject to change each time a new patch is released.
XTAL usage
Majorly, XTAL is used as currency for crafting a weapon. However in the first edition of the game, the crafting system will still not be implemented. Players can get new weapons for in-game play and prepare for the crafting system in phase 2 from a random weapon box or XTAL box. XTAL boxes will be sold via our company shop which players can also purchase by XTAL token. In the future patch, XTAL will have more variable usages such as purchase castles in Guild war patch.

Tavatchai Engbunmeesakul, Co-Founder and CEO
Tavatchai is an engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services and the gaming industry. Tavatchai graduated from Chulalongkorn Engineering school and he received an MBA degree from Babson College – Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business. Tavatchai represented Thailand in Asia Pacific ICT Award (APICTA) and the ASIA Social Innovation Award.
Charn Chanvutisil, Co-Founder and CTO
Charn graduated from the faculty of engineering at Kasetsart University. Charn has more than 10 years of experience writing computer software in both frontend and backend. He is the main architecture and developer of WEALTHI which he combines machine learning with mobile technology to solve debt problems of the end users. To date, WEALTHI has more than 1 millions download on Android and iOS.
Thanaphak Suraveratum, Co-Founder and COO
Thanaphak is a real board game player, MMORPG player and gamer. He has more than 20 years of experiences playing Magic the Gathering which earned him several national champion status, the most current one being the MTG Community Cup 2018 Champion. His competency in board game designs and game play designs is second to none. He was an instructor and columnist for board game stores and Ragnarok Online club Magazine.
Thanaphak graduated from Chulalongkorn Engineering school and he received an MBA degree from Johnson & Wales University.
